Wendy, 54, was spotted hand-in-hand with Tomblin, who is exactly half her age, running errands Tuesday afternoon in New York City

A family member told DailyMail.com: 'It's surprising! It's so funny.

'It doesn't bother me as long as they are healthy and happy.'

They added: 'I called him yesterday and he didn't answer. Guess he's busy right now.'

When asked if Tomblin looks in love, they said: 'From what I've seen, he looks shocked. They just met each other.'

A source close to Williams told DailyMail.com: 'People around Wendy are concerned for her well-being, especially since she is in such a vulnerable state with the divorce, addiction and alcoholism and the status of the show not being renewed yet.

'With this new guy, how can Wendy really trust him if she's going through so much on her own. 'The fact she's brought him to New York is also a concern, she's let him into her life and her home, people are worried he's trying to manipulate her.'

Tomblin's mother, who still lives in the D.C. area, said she had no comment when contacted by DailyMail.com.

Wendy's team has not responded to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.

According to his LinkedIn page, he works as an investor and social media enthusiast.

The pair have been spending plenty of time together as they were spotted Tuesday afternoon walking hand-in-hand in New York City and in Los Angeles Monday getting dinner.

Wendy, in short denim shorts, a white t-shirt and light jacket ran errands with her tattooed beau and accompanied him while he got a haircut at St. Marks Barbershop Tuesday.

Tomblin was seen in a red Supreme t-shirt, sporting a do-rag and dark sunglasses as he smiled and opened the door for the cougar.

One of the models Tomblin worked with in May told DailyMail.com of the young man's relationship with Wendy: 'It's cool. You got to do what you got to do.'

Tuesday's public display of affection confirms she has moved on from her cheating husband Kevin Hunter after filing for divorce in April following the news he had a baby girl with his longtime mistress Sharina Hudson.

Their sighting came a day after Wendy hinted she was dating again when she posted a loved up picture of herself holding hands with Tomblin overlooking a pool in Sherman Oaks, California.

Wendy wrote in her caption Monday: 'Last night was the most beautiful sunset in Sherman Oaks with special people. Thank you, California! You've won me over! I'll be back for the Hip Hop Festival in August!'

Wendy then followed up with the telling hashtags: '#oldenoughtobeyourmother #verysexyman #mynewlife'.

She is apparently enjoying her time off from her show, vacationing in California where she hung out with Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Blac Chyna, attending a Pride event and eating dinner at LA hot-spots.

Her West Coast trip is much needed after a very turbulent year for the TV host.

In April, Wendy revealed she had filed for divorce from her husband of more than 20 years Kevin Hunter.

The breakdown of their marriage is also causing strain between their son Kevin Hunter Jr, with the 19-year-old being arrested last month after punching Hunter Sr. in a parking lot in New Jersey.

The divorce came after months of allegations regarding Hunter's cheating - which was exposed by DailyMail.com - and the accusation that he had fathered a child with his long-time lover massage therapist Sharina Hudson.

In March DailyMail.com revealed Wendy had been secretly living in a sober house in Queens, New York, to battle her booze and prescription pill addiction, which was brought on after learning Hunter was still seeing Hudson.

Meanwhile, Wendy is trying to create positive buzz for herself and her show by  shopping around a tell-all interview to major TV networks, DailyMail.com exclusively reported.

However, CBS anchor Gayle King turned her down flat as network insiders claim 64-year-old King believes an interview with the outspoken former radio host could be perceived as too 'trashy' for morning television.

It's understood the sticking point has been Williams' demand for an hour-long prime time slot, while insiders have said many big name hosts have simply balked at the idea.

One network source told DailyMail.com: 'Her people want either a morning show or an hour long prime-time special, they want Wendy to sit down with a big name anchor and Gayle King was at the top of the list.

'But she turned it down, it's not clear exactly why but there's a lot of talk that Gayle thought sitting down with Wendy, dredging over her car crash personal life, might be a little too trashy for morning television.

'Wendy also wants a longer interview.'
